Look who’s blown into town! Two years after conquering the high seas, the Perth Trumpet Summit is back to take to the skies in their brand-new show, Trouble in the Air! Join Perth’s favourite trumpeting aeronauts at their Lyric’s Underground debut, as they present a collection of jazz’s best air/wind/vaguely related repertoire. Expect Sonny Rollins, Chick Corea, and other high-flying classics. Have they gone too far? Will this fresh challenge defeat them? Either way, this is one night of musical madness you won’t want to miss!
The Perth Trumpet Summit is comprised of Matt Knight, James Chapman, Brendan Arbuckle and Dušan Cuculoski, representing the next generation of local trumpet talent. Joining them is Bob Tweedie on piano, Tommi Flamenco on bass and Joe Bell on drums.
